Sisters vs Quake Rugby August 14th
The Capital Hill Alano Club is facing a financial crisis and is close to
closing their doors. The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, The Abbey of
St. Joan are putting on a fund raiser for the Capital Hill Alano Club
this Saturday August 14th and the Sisters have requested that the
Northwest Bears assist with the event.
The Sisters will be
"facing off" against the powerhouse that is Quake
Rugby -- in a game of Kickball! We have fun planned starting at 4:30
with pre-game cocktails at Purr, followed by the game itself at 6:00,
Cal Anderson Park. Suggested donation $5.

Your donations can - pull a player out, put a player
back in, get a player to loose their shirt, run backwards, score a
point, have a player loose their shorts & play in jock, make a
Sister loose their face on a rugby player. And a very special donation -
Rugby player gets put in “Sister face” and switches teams. - So bring
CA$H. :P
Volunteers Needed The
Sisters have asked the Northwest Bears to help out with the event. If
you are able to help during the Game please contact me as soon as
possible. Please email me at wajeff@hotmail.
com. At this point I
don't have a lot of information on what the Sisters will be having us
do. The more help that we can provide the more fun will be had by all.
I'll be selling discounted tickets for $26.00 just outside the
park entrance the morning of the 22nd from 9:30 am til
10:30 am. If you can't meet at that time and would like to
arrange to have your tickets before hand, please contact me at scootier1@gmail.com.
I can arrange to have tickets sent to you and accept payment via
PayPal.
Ticket prices went up a dollar from last year, but this is lower
than the normal discount of $32.00, and much lower than the standard
admission of $43.00, so bring your friends and take advantage of the
savings! That's why we do this!
EVERYONE IS INVITED! Club members, friends of members, family
members, curious new-comers, out-of-towners, bring whomever you'd
like, the more the merrier, or "bear-ier".
Need a ride? Got an extra seat in your car? Contact me and
let's set up some carpools. I can also provide info on public
transportation to the park and back.
Don't let the extended winter bring
you down, pack up your sunscreen and let's go get wet!!
PRIDE PARADE:
Yes we Marched with our float entry in the Pride
Parade. Great job for all the hard work everyone put into making it all
happen.
Kamp kodiak was a lot of fun for everyone. If you missed it, you will have to make plans to attend next year. Everyone enjoyed a great time and thanks go to everyone that helped make it happen. Pictures will be posted soon.
